A friend of mine who used to live and had visited my home in Zambia came to see me. She brought with her the most wonderful gift. A Lily of the Nile ( Agapanthus). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agapanthus. A native plant to South Africa this plant has become a common feature in many gardens in Southern Africa making a beautiful border or cluster in a pot.
I will not be able to plant it into the ground, because it would not survive the harsh winters here, but I’ve made a garden feature of it an old rusty wheelbarrow. I’ve placed it next to a hybrid daisy. Daisies grow wild in Sweden and are synonymous with swedish summer.
