HMS partners with Turismo Andalucia to navigate China’s spending surge

For Turismo Andalucía, attracting Chinese tourists is a significant focus. With a 47.3% upsurge in Chinese tourism receipts to 632.6 billion yuan ($89 billion) reported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism during the last Lunar New Year, the opportunity to engage with this market is more encouraging than ever. While the celebrations may be over, the momentum remains, presenting an ideal moment to implement innovative strategies and appeal to Chinese travelers actively planning their post-holiday journeys.

The MOU aims to boost cooperation between HUAWEI Mobile Services and Turismo Andalucía in promoting Andalucía as a tourist destination and experience in the Chinese market, striving to achieve agreed-upon goals through this strategic partnership.

This will be carried out through a partnership framework that encompasses various co-marketing initiatives. Turismo Andalucía’s cooperation framework includes direct campaigns, co-marketing activities, events, and partnerships with third-party entities. Meanwhile, Petal Ads will offer resources such as the Petal Ads platform, broader marketing collaboration, technology support in China and Europe, and custom project solutions.

Both entities are committed to advancing their collaboration throughout 2024 to elevate and exhibit Andalucía as the premier European destination for Chinese travelers. They envision crafting successful co-marketing and broader partnership strategies as they progress in their joint efforts in the future.

“Teaming up with a robust mobile advertising platform is crucial for us to comprehend Chinese customers better and engage with them strategically,” stated Gomez. “This agreement builds on the strong relationship between Huawei Mobile Services and Turismo Andalucía in working toward boosting inbound tourism to the vibrant holiday destination that is Andalucía.”
