Apple has been testing iOS 17.4 beta version for close to a month now. Below, we elucidate when the update is expected to be rolled out to all users.

iOS 17
In its press release revealing significant changes in the EU App Store, brought about by the new regulations under the EU’s Digital Markets Act, Apple validated that iOS 17.4 will be unleashed sometime in March:

Developers can explore these changes on the Apple Developer Support page and can start experimenting with new capabilities today in the iOS 17.4 beta. The new capabilities will be accessible to users in the 27 EU countries from March 2024 onwards.

Apple needs to comply with the Digital Markets Act by March 6 to avoid penalties, hence, iOS 17.4 is anticipated to be released on or before that date.

Alongside the EU modifications, primary new features in iOS 17.4 encompass Apple Podcasts transcripts, a fresh iMessage security protocol, novel emojis, and the ability to utilize the Apple Cash card on more websites by generating a virtual card number. The update also includes groundwork for launching next-gen CarPlay later this year.

iOS 17.4 is compatible with iPhone XS and later models. The update will be obtainable in the Settings app under General → Software Update.

Other software updates projected for release in March comprise iPadOS 17.4, macOS 14.4, watchOS 10.4, tvOS 17.4, and visionOS 1.1.
